Hi LD Rooters,

Sorry I haven't seemed to be around much lately, but I do have a couple
of neat new things for you to check out, which I've been working on.

Take a look at the Somerset County USGenWeb site's new query set-up.

http://www.rootsweb.com/~mdsomers/qryindex.htm

I'm using a program available to USGenWeb County Coordinators which makes
the queries MUCH more useful to researchers. All Somerset County queries,
going back to October 1996, are now indexed by surname and researcher.

There are 3 sections: Queries, where you can read the actual queries and
browse through them ad lib; Surname Index, where each surname is listed
alphabetically along with links to all researchers interested in that
name and all the queries that contain that name; and a Researcher Index,
where everyone who has submitted a query or registered a surname is
listed along with links to every surname that person is researching and
to each of that person's queries. The Researcher Index can also give
information on researchers' web pages, and comments.

At the site, researchers can either submit a query, update their
researcher profile, or submit a surname without a query. Currently, I'm
working on getting my old Surname Registry data inputted into this
program. When that is done, I'll implement the same format on the
Wicomico County site. Let me know what you think.

Another new developement is an update to the Bivalve Cemetery listing,
provided by Paul Willing, R.N.G.* There have been many additions and
corrections to the data. Check it out at:

Other recent additions to the Somerset and Wicomico sites:

Historical Records (LOOKING FOR MORE TO PUT HERE, TOO, so if you would
like to help put some records online, let me know):

Interesting Miscellany - Tips, facts, and other stuff 'n' things that
will be make your research a bit easier, maybe. If you have any ideas
about more information that should go here, I'm listening.

And, lastly, I just visited Cindy Bennett's great Delmarva Genealogy
site, and I saw that she has the 1870 Wicomico County Barren Creek Dist.
Census on the site! Check it out at:
