Dear Rooters,

I have noticed during the summer that several of you were corresponding
about GORDY family connections. I have just returned home to my papers and
notes after being away for four months, so have put together a query about
the GORDYS who were connected to my REDDEN ancestors.

1. The applicant for the license of the marriage of my grandfather and
grandmother, John James Redden and Rosa Lee Beachboard (Dec. 19, 1888) was
Linn C. Gordy. (Girdletree, Worc. Co., MD)

2. My grandfather's sister Blanche Redden (b.1874) married Joel A. Gordy
(b.1871) on Nov. 2, 1892. Their children were: Ethel B. (b.1894), Joel L.
(b. 1896), Newell S. (b.1898), Annie Laurie (b. 1904), and Richard H. (b. 1910).
My cousin, now 78, remembers "cousin" Richard and Annie Laurie, but never
knew any of their family or descendants.

3. S.S. death notice, Spotsylvania, VA, possibly same Richard Gordy. Born
Jan. 3, 1910, died Feb. 19, 1989.

This family must have been very close to my family, and I would love to hear
from anyone who may be descended from any of the above, or have any
knowledge of their descendants.
