Origins', the Internet genealogical searching service of the General
Register Office for Scotland, is nearly ready!

We thank you for your interest in our exciting new venture, and we very much
hope that you enjoy using it.

We are pleased to announce that Origins (at http://www.origins.net) will
go live on Monday 6 April 1998, and should be available from 13:00 UK local
time (08:00 US Eastern Standard Time) - if the 3000 of you don't all log on
at once!.
