Carolyn, et al.,

Comfort Walls, daughter of Joshua (Sr.) and Delilah (Atkins) Walls of Sussex
County, DE married Benjamin Johnson, a Quaker, in the New Garden Monthly
Meeting, Guilford Co.?, NC on 4 Aug 1790. Joshua, her father was taxed in
Sussex Co., in 1790 and was noted with a "invalid" wife. Joshua Walls (Sr.)
was in Monongalia Co., VA (no where close to NC) by 1796 with his son Rev.
Joshua Walls, Jr. (my ancestor). For me, it has always been a puzzle how
Comfort got to NC; I suppose that she was in company of some close family.
And she was not a Quaker! The Joshua's were caught up in the Methodist
frenzy of the time. Source for Comfort's marriage and parents is
Henshaw.....

Sure would like to know more about the likely migration. Extended families
tended to move together. Anybody?
