Subject: Hundreds again -- Help!
Date: Tue, 06 Apr 1999 14:23:06 -0700

Okay, I'm geographically challenged. Could someone familiar with the
hundreds in Somerset Co. MD tell me where Mattaponie Hundred was in
1680-1724?

How about Baltimore Hundred in 1698? Indian River Hundred in 1700's?

Did these hundreds change boundaries as time went on?

I'm trying to figure out where property located on the "south side of
Indian River at or near the head of Blackwater Creek" [360 acres -
Hopkins Discovery] was in relationship to these hundreds our family was
associated with. (This land obtained 1715 in Somerset Co. MD was sold
in 1778 in Sussex Co. DE.)

Would this be the SAME land described as "about 5 miles from the
seaboard side back in the woods about 2 miles from and on the south side
of Baltimore also Indian River ....eastermost side of main branch of
black water"? [300 acres -Stockley's Adventure, 1696, supposedly in
Baltimore Hundred]

THANKS!
