this one's a doozy, to say the least! can you contact the agency you
got it from & ask why the wrong name? is it possible the father & son
had the same name legally, but the son was called something different?
not meaning to insult your intelligence -- i'm just trying to think of
some ideas.

are there cemetery records you could check? probate records?

i feel so badly for you. i'm not sure what my reaction would have
been. probably screaming.
