I need to prove (or disprove) that George Ashby and Nancy Savage (of
Accomack Co., VA) were parents of my James Ashby, who was living in Wilson
Co., TN by 1820. He had a wife (unknown) and children. He was still there
in 1830 and 1840. My ancestor is Francis Marion Ashby, who was born in
Wilson Co., TN in 1834/35. His mother was Jane, (2nd wife of James Ashby)
Both James and his first and second wife give Virginia as place of birth.
Would like to get in touch with any descendants of James Asbhy or George
Ashby (who left will in Accomack Co.VA) or Rowland Savage, father in law of
