Carol,
I too had problems with Ancestry.com. I never found much of my direct line,
which should have been there when, say their brother was. I had considered
joining, when I supposedly got a free two month membership after buying
Family TreeMaker. Instead, my membership lasted about 10 days and I got the
letter saying it was up.
I've gotten more information from this list than I found there.
