Dear Johnita,

Little Monie Creek runs south east off Monie Bay in Somerset County, Maryland.
The Waller family settled there in 1666. A survey was taken for John Waller for a
parcel of land called "Waller's Adventure". It is near the small village of Monie
and if you were in the area you would find your way to Fitzgerald Road and find a
sign at the end of a driveway stating "Waller's Adventure". Great Monye Creek is
now named Monie Creek on the National Geological Survey Map of the area. It is
further north and also runs east out of Monie Bay.

I find these maps wonderful when doing research and bought them so that when I go
over to the shore I can get a more detailed look at the Wicomico, Somerset; and
Dorchester County, Maryland and the Sussex County, Delaware areas that are
mentioned in the land records, wills, tax records that I research.
