Hi LDRooters,

Since we're such a friendly, outgoing group, I know we all like to jump in and give possible solutions when someone is
having difficulty. You all are the most helpful, go-out-of-your-way-to-lend-a-hand group in online genealogy, I'm
convinced! The problem with this on a list such as LDRoots, with over 800 subscribers, is that off-topic chat can tend
to get out of hand.

For this reason, we do need to try to stay on topic as much as possible. If someone does send a post saying they are
having a technical problem of some sort, please reply *privately* to them only if possible, and not to the list. We
don't have a bunch of hard "list rules" here on LDRoots, and have gotten along just fine with a couple of guidelines,
such as that posts to the lists should be pertaining to some aspect of DelMarVa genealogy. I realize that, occasionally,
someone may wish to post a message which is not technically on-topic, but for some reason has particular importance to
the list. Please clear these with the list administrator (me <g>) before posting.
