Dear Bill,

I have 2 grandparents who lived on Chincoteague:
Harry Collins and Lydia Pointer Collins

I have 5 great grandparents who lived on Chincoteague.
William James Collins and Mariah C. Brasure Collins
John Franklin Pointer and MaDora Francis Wimbrough Pointer
Eva Lena Chandler Riggs

I have 8, maybe 10, gg grandparents who lived on Chincoteague:
Charles C. Collins and Hester (Hetty) Bishop Collins (1870, 1880, 1900
census)
Joshua Brasure and Elizabeth P. Hudson Brasure (1880 census)
James B. Pointer and Lydia A. Snead Pointer (1870, 1880, 1900 census)
(?) Wimbrough and (?) Dunston Wimbrough (or Wimbrow)*
William James Chandler and Sarah Elizabeth Benson Chandler (1880 census)

I have 2, maybe 4, ggg grandparents who lived on Chincoteague:
Robert Snead and Bridget (?) Snead*
Joshua L. Chandler and Mary Catherine Lynch Chandler

* = not sure

I believe all of my gg grandparents except the Sneads, Wimbroughs and
Dunstons moved to Chincoteague after the Civil War and came from Sussex
County Delaware and Worcester County Maryland.

I would love to get copies of the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census. You say in
another email that they are in Works 3 format. I have Word 2000. It probably
can read your file. Perhaps you could send the files in Works 3 format and
as text files. Is there any charge?

Let me know the names in your ancestry. If I have any information that would
help you I would be glad to share it.
