Greetings,
Am trying to find out who parents and/or siblings of JAMES H.
WINDSOR born 1818 in DE ,d., 1881 in MD, Vienna are.
Here's what i have so far. Mother's name is probably SOPHIA b. ab.
1799 (no last name known). b., DE her parents born DE.
First located in 1850 Census for Somerset County, MD Barren Creek
Dist. #2. He married PHOEBE C. ROBINSON on 23 June 1841 (fr. Pollitt's
Som. Co. Marriages). SOPHIA is listed in that census living with an
ALFRED H. WINDSOR. in next household from JAMES H. WINDSOR and Phoebe C.
Next find JAMES H. WINDSOR in1870 census for Dorchester Co. His
probable Mother SOPHIA is now living with him. In 1880 census SOPHIA is
listed as Mother in relationship to head of household.
I have no idea of county that he may have been born in in DE. Clues
are that it could be SUSSEX or KENT county DE. There is a 'story' of his
JAMES H. WINDSOR and/or one of his son's ALFRED HIRAM WINDSOR being in
Felton, De at one time.
Any help would be appreciated.
