Hi,
I'm preparing for my research trip in June. Since i have so many
surnames and information to try and verify and r-construct due to a fire
in 1971 and a later flood that destroyed what was left from the fire and
what had since been documented in the flood; i'm trying to narrow down
some information if possible.

Here's what names this time i'm trying to narrow down.

MAJOR A. ROBINSON (no dates) but more than likely born in MD in either
Somerset or Dorchester County married NANCY TALL b.? d. Nov 27, 1819 in
Dorchester County. They were married in Dorchester County on Oct 6,
1817.
issue was at least this child:
MAJOR A. ROBINSON b. Nov. 27, 1819 d. July 15, 1893 Sharptown Wicomico
MD

MAJOR A. ROBINSON (2) was married to NANCY ELIZABETH MARINE on Jan 30,
1850 in Somerset County. She was the daughter of MATTHEW MARINE and
NANCY RAWLINGS. Nancy Elizabeth Marine (Robinson) was born 1830 and died
before 1878.

According to notes given me she is supposedly buried in Taylor's Ferry
Street Cemetery Sharptown, MD but i can't seem to locate a tombstone
record for her on this cemetery's transcription. Does anyone know if she
is actually buried there?

MAJOR A. ROBINSON (2) next married LOUISA C. TWIFORD on Mar 13, 1878.
She wa born Oct 17, 1853 and died June 19, 1942.

Looking at census records (1870 Sharptown) her parents look to be , from
household 105)
TWIFORD, JOHN 41 m w Ship Carpenter
BASHTI 37 f w
children in household are:
JAMES 14 m w
LOUISA 7 f w
SINA 13 f w
* Note there are also two ADAMS surname individuals listed ;
JAMES 20 Sailor
ALACE 11 f w

A MD archives search can not locate a death certificate for a LOUISA
ROBINSON or TWIFORD. Does anyone know if she re-married? She was approx.
35 years younger than MAJOR A. ROBINSON in 1880. She's listed as 26 and
he as 60 in the 1880 Sharptown District Maryland Census.

Names that i have seen asociated with MAJOR A. ROBINSON are WHAYLAND
MILLICAN and SOLOMON ROBINSON in 1838 in Dorchester County Maryland a
land transaction. I do not know if this is the Father or son. Probably
son if the later info below is same family.

Given that ROBINSON has also been variated in some references as
ROBERTSON (my GG GM MINNIE E. ROBINSON to HIRAM A. WINDSOR) marriage
records from compilation by Ms. Ruth Dryden for Som. Wor. Wic. marriages
1865-1906;

I found this online at DCGM site,
High Court Chancery Records
Liber 60 - folio 503 - 1837
ROBERTSON, HANDY,dec 1837
Adm - Solomon Robertson
son - Major Robertson
dau - Milly Robertson
son - Solomon Robertson
dau - Susan Anne Robertson
dau - Elizabeth Catherine Robertson
son - William Handy Robertson

I do plan definitely on finding this on my trip for the entire record.

Thank You all for bearing with my still novice attempts at researching
and for pointing me in the right direction. I truly wish that all the
rootsweb lists were as generous with novices as this list is and it's
members.

Best Regards,
Sincerely,
Corleen Arrowood
