Hello everyone,

I have a great-great-grandfather who was a prominent African American
minister in Somerset County (Methodist Church)in the l800s. It says in his
obituary that he participated in getting the "local option law" passed in
Fairmount. Does anyone know what that is, and how I could get more
information about it?
