Are Isaac Nichols and Lemuel Wright of Dorchester County, MD, the same men
as Isaac Nichols and Lemuel Wright of Edgecombe County, NC?
I have Isaac Nichols in Dorchester 1708 when he inherited land bequeathed
to him by John Nichols Senior. Various records continue for Isaac Nichols
until his will 1749/1750 in which he mentions daughter Elizabeth wife of
Thomas Andrew, son Isaac Nichols, and brother John Nichols. This Isaac
Nichols was born about 1684/85 (two documents give his age at time of
making depositions). In 1754 Isaac Nichols bought 300 acres in
Dorchester. ARE THERE LATER DORCHESTER RECORDS FOR THIS ISAAC NICHOLS?

That same year, 1754 Isaac Nichols bought land in Edgecombe County, North
Carolina. In 1761 Isaac Nichols got a grant also in Edgecombe, NC. Same
man? Or was one of them the man mentioned in 1738 as Isaac Nichols of
South Carolina now in Pasquotank, NC? Chain carriers for the 1761 plat
were Lemuel wright and Jacob Flowers. In 1762 Isaac Nichols sold 225 acres
to Lemuel Wright. Any information about Isaac Nichols, Lemuel Wright, and
Jacob Flowers will be welcome. Carol
