I know that the surname Prudue is an old Eastern Shore family name. Does anyone researching this name have a Frances Prudue who married a Dennis B. Dorsey?

I am drawing at straws, but the birth cert. for my grandfather states his mother was Molly C. Dorsey born in Snow Hill. The only Snow Hill I know of is in Worcester Co.

I recently found an obit for this Molly C. Dorsey (Mary C. Hausner) and it stated that her parents were Dennis & Mary Dorsey.
I can find this family in the 1860 census in Baltimore County. In this census it states that Dennis Dorsey is 30 yrs old and born in MD. Making him born abt. 1829/30.

In the LDS site I find a Dennis Basil Dorsey b. abt. 1830 in Baltimore MD. his parents are listed as Dennis B. Dorsey and Frances Prudue. (I don't know for sure if this is the same Dennis Dorsey from the 1860 census, like I said I am drawing straws)

I know that my great grandmother was alive when my grandfather was born and so I am wondering where the Snow Hill came from. She must have been told at sometime in her life that her family came from this area and so she assumed that is where she was born. Now it makes sense that if a Dennis B. Dorsey married a Frances Prudue, possibly this Frances was born in Snow Hill. Yet according to the LDS site Dennis & Frances's son: Dennis Basil Dorsey b.abt 1830 was born in Baltimore. I would think that maybe after they married either in Baltimore or Worcester county that they moved to Baltimore.

Anyone researching the Purdue name or Dorsey that might have some information to help, I would certainly appreciate it.

Thank you all so very much.
Sharon
