==================================
Thanks - can you give marriage date of Leonard Hastings who m. Mary Hearn?
Some Hearns were neighbors and witnesses on some documents in the
family of my gg grandfa James Hastings (d.1833 Sussex, DE), son of Obediah
who is my brick wall !
On my only visit to Dover archives when I started tracking Hastings
about 1990, I copied only marriages from card file. Several Hastings persons
married other Hastings persons and some were married by a Rev. Hastings. The
cards weren't even alphabetical, having been thumbed through by sundry
searchers. I didn't get to finish as my husb. wanted to get on the road, but
didn't find Obadiah or James.
A son of James, Waitman/Wateman married Mary E. COLLINS, also a very
common name in the area
Is there any family Bible, (besides that of Winder Hearn Hastings), or
any record on the web that might show family groups of this large enclave of
Hastings names in such a small area (Laurel, Delmar) early 1800s, late 1700s?
