Leaving early Friday morning for our week at Lake Tahoe and my annual trek
to the NV Archives and Storey County Courthouse located in rural Virginia,
City, NV. Could some generous person see if Alexander WINSMORE, Sr. and wife
Margaret Ann HILL,(married widow), is listed in the 1860 DE Census? Thank
you for your help.
My "Drummmer Boy From Delaware," Alexander WINSMORE,(1848-1916) is buried,
with his wife Susie DAY WINSMORE, (1862-1893) in the Knights of Pythias
Cemetery on "Boot Hill" in VA City. Beneath the hard, dusty ground they
still sleep quietly guarding their secrets.
"I want to stand, once again, before their grave with flowers...I want them
to know they may be long dead, but not forgotten by family. I will keep this
promise, each year, as long as I am able."
Gratefully yours,
Lynn in CA
