OE stands for OUTLOOK EXPRESS, which is your email client-- all the message
is telling you is that the .eml attachment (which is a forwarded EMaiL) will
not be opened by outlook express because of your security settings for
outlook express. You have probably inadvertanatly changed a security
setting which has caused this message to appear. If you have recently
installed software, this setting may have been inadvertently changed by the
install program. It does NOT mean that there was a virus
attached...............
You can check your security settings for Outlook Express by doing the
following:
1) Click on Tools on the menu bar.
2) Select Options........
3) Select the Security Tab
4) If the box next to the line that says "Do not allow attachments to be
saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" is checked, then this
means that Outlook Express will not allow ANY attachments to be opened. In
order to read the digest, which sends the attachments as .eml files, this
box MUST be unchecked. If it is checked, uncheck the box, hit the apply
button in the lower right and close the dialog box-- you will now be able to
read the attachments.........
Outlook Express does not have any virus protection built-in-- you MUST use a
third party software to accomplish this for you..........
Any other questions on this, you can email me directly.....
