Here is more of my finds at the family history center - on this one I
was excited and forgot to write down the exact date and folio but will
look it up next time if anyone is interested.
Will of George Miles

In the Name of God Amen, I George Miles of Somerset County in the State
of Maryland being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind
memory and understanding considering the certainty of death and the
uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly
affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it
shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and publish this my
last will and testament in manner and form following that it is say I
give and devise unto Eliza. A. Dickerson my eldest daughter my
plantation lying and being in Somerset County being part of a tract of
land called Deer Park bought at sheriff sale sold as the property of a
certain James Boston and also deeded by the said James Boston to me
containing six hundred acres of land more or less to her the said Eliza.
A. Dickerson and her heirs and ? forever provided and one condition that
my daughter Eliza A. Dickerson and her husband Parker Dickerson shall
convey by a good and sufficient deed of Bargain and sale in fee simple
all the right title interest and estate of in and unto the plantation
whereon I live unto my daughter Mary H. Costen, wife of Samuel S.
Costen, to her and &and her heirs and &.forever and if my daughter Eliza
A. Dickerson and her husband Parker Dickerson shall refuse to deed all
their rights and estate in the aforesaid plantation whereon I now dwell
within twelve months after my death to my daughter Molly H. Costen, wife
of the said Samuel S. Costen and to her and her heirs and ..? forever it
is my will and I do hereby devise the aforesaid plantation being part of
a tract of land called Deer park aforesaid containing six hundred acres
of land aforesaid more or less unto my daughter Molly H. Costen wife of
said Samuel S. Costen to her and her heirs and ? forever it is my will
and I do hereby authorize constitute and appoint my two friends Isaac M.
Adams and Morris H. Adams to ? an evaluation on the farm whereon I now
dwell and farm Deer Park aforesaid and the deficiency in the value of
the farm called Deer Park aforesaid whatever that sum may be as
appraised and valued by Isaac M. Adams and Morris H. Adams that sum
shall be taken out of my personal estate and laid out and expended to
the best advantage in the improvement of the said farm called Deer Park
by my wife Mary my herein after named executrix so as to make the farms
called Deer Park as valuable as the farm whereon I now dwell my object
is to do strict justice to each of my daughters. Item, I give and
bequeath unto my well beloved wife the one third part of all my real
estate during her natural life. I also give and bequeath unto my well
beloved wife all the value and remaining part of my personal estate
during her widowhood or death and after her widowhood or death I give
and bequeath unto my daughter Eliza A. Dickersons children that she now
has or may hereafter have the one half of my personal estate (after
deducting out of my personal estate the sum that may be ? by Isaac M
Adams and Morris H. Adams, to be applied to the improvement of the farm
called Deer Park to be equally divided between share and share alike
Item I give and bequeath Molly H. Costen my daughters children that
she now has or may hereafter have the other one half part of my personal
estate after deduction out of my personal estate the sum that may be ?
by Isaac M. Adams and Morris H. Adams to be applied to the improvement
of the farm called Deer Park to be equally divided between them share
and share alike and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my dear
wife Molly Miles to be sole executrix of my last will and testament
revoking and annulling all former wills by me ..? confirming this and
non other to be my last will and testament &.1834
