A Note to Eastern Shore Researchers Migration patterns during the 16th and
early 17th centuries led many planters to leave the Eastern Shore of Virginia
and settle in the Lower Shore counties of Maryland--Worcester and Somerset--
as well as Sussex and Kent counties in Delaware (which was part of
Pennsylvania--referred to as the Three Lower Counties). Research may be
complicated a bit because of the border dispute between the Calverts and
Penns which was not settled until 1763 with the Mason-Dixon line. <A HREF="http://www.familytreebookshop.com/#How To Order">How To Order

have a “cousin” to work with on this family. I wish all a very happy,
healthy, and prosperous new year.R.R. Abney Jr.
