Our family tradition is that one of the people responsible for turning in
Patty to the authorities was my great grandfather (State) Senator Daniel
Fields, husband of Harriet Priscilla Fields and the son-in-law of Isaac
Fields and Mrs Ann (Jackson) Adkins. Does anyone know if there's any truth
(or falsehood) to the tradition? Also, if anyone is connected to the above
family, I would love to hear from them.
