On the subject of slavery ...

I asked the good folks at the Historical Society of Delaware what book they
recommend on the subject. They said William Williams' book, "Slavery and
Freedom in Delaware," has become their standard reference on the subject. Williams
has an easy-to-read style, so I'm anxious to dig into his book. I picked up
a copy today at Barnes & Noble in Wilmington.
