The Eastern Shore! Adding nothing of educational value to the Eastern Shore
discussion but only proving how proud we Eastern Shoremen/ women are of our
"homeland" I must tell this story. In 1980 my mother, age 82, who was born in
Wicomico Co., MD, and lived all of her life there except the last 5 years,
moved to CA to live with me. Whenever someone out here asked where she was from,
she always proudly answered, "The Eastern Shore." She never could understand
why the questioner looked so puzzled. Jeanne Scott
