There is one book that I ran across that suggests that Henry's family might
have connections to the Hudsons of lower Delaware. I am at work, but I am
pretty sure the book was called "Hudsons of the Eastern Shore."
I do have my geneology "to do" list with me here, however, and I had jotted
down the way the book claims Henry Hudson fits into the picutre. Please
note that I have not independently researched these claims (that's why they
are on my "to do" list). I always get nervous putting stuff out on the list
that I haven't confirmed myself, so with that caveat:
The book claims that Henry Hudson's nephew Richard (who was the son of
Henry's brother William) emigrated to Virginia. Richard then married a Mary
Hayes died c 1659 in Northampton County Virginia. Richard had a son (also
named Henry) that moved up into Somerset County and sired a long line of
Maryland and Delaware Hudsons.
Has anyone else seen or researched this claim?
