Yes, the book Wills & Administrations of Accomack Co., VA, 1663-1800,
tells that Samuel gives land in Somerset Co. MD to his son, and then the
land that he now lives on in Accomack Co., VA to another son, so that
proves that he was in MD & VA. He is living adjacent to his brother
Nathaniel. It also talks about Micajah, Thomas, John, & daughters. This
book has a lot of entries on the Brittingham's. Jan

Purnell Brittingham of Worcester County, MD (c1745-1815) had sons Purnell, Thomas and John all born in the 1770s. I have noted that the son Purnell died in Norfolk County, VA in 1816. The son John (I think) mortgaged his farm animals and furniture in 1814. Purnell Brittingham who d. 1815 appears to be the son of Micajah Brittingham who is the son of my ancestor Samuel Brittingham (c1677-1727) who was living in Accomack County, VA at the time of his death and owned land in both Accomack and Somerset [now Worcester] Counties.
