Obituary from the Delaware Pilot newspaper, Lewes, DE., Friday, July 4, 1913;
George M. Fowler, formerly of this town, died at his home in Felton, Friday June 27 at age 68 years, 2 months and 9 days, of dropsy. Mr. Fowler will be remembered by hid many friends as track foreman here for several years and in 1903 was transfered to Felton by the railroad company as flagman until he was retired on the pension list on account of a disability. In 1908 he was married to Buelah D Creadick of Felton who was a devoted and faithful wife until his death. Funeral services were held in New Market Church, Ellendale, and interred in the family burial plot beside his first wife who died here in 1901. He was member of Improved Order of Heptasops, Lewes Conclave. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow, Beulah D Fowler, two children Mrs T W Sammons and George G Fowler, formerly of this town and two sisters Mrs William Warren and Mrs James C Reed.
