I read, with interest, John Truitt married Mary Adkins, Daughter of Stanton
Adkins.
I am a descendent of Stanton Adkins. Do you have any more information on
this family?
Do you know where has land was located?
Also one of my great grandmothers was a Truitt - Benjamin Truitt's daughter.
He is listed in a census that he was born in Maryland.

First Generation
1. Benjamin TRUITT was born Bet 1790 - 1795 in Maryland. He died after 1870.
Benjamin married Sarah ?. Sarah was born 1812.
They had the following children:
2 F i. Daddamy Or Didamiah TRUITT was born 1825.
3 F ii. Pricilla TRUITT was born 1828.
4 F iii. Mary TRUITT was born 28 Aug 1828 in Delaware. She died 27 Oct
1897.
Mary married Manaan TINGLE, son of William TINGLE and Catherine LONG, on Nov
1850 in Sussex County, Delaware. Manaan was born 16 Dec 1830 in Delaware. He
died 3 Oct 1915 and was buried in Delmar, Sussex County, Delaware.
5 M iv. David TRUITT was born 1832.
6 M v. Ayres TRUITT was born 1838.
7 F vi. Sarah Ann TRUITT was born 1842 in Millsboro, Sussex County,
Delaware. She died Sep 1894 in Frankford, Delaware and was buried in Adkins
Burial Grounds, Dagsboro, Delaware.
Sarah married Elijah ADKINS, son of Mitchell ADKINS and Louisa DAVIDSON, on
15 Mar 1864 in Dagsboro, Delaware. Elijah was born 1 Apr 1827. He died 7 Jan
1910 in Frankford, Delaware and was buried in Adkins Burial Grounds,
Dagsboro, Delaware.
8 M vii. George TRUITT was born 1845.
