"Some Tested Recipes"
BAKED PUDDING

Four cups scalded milk, 1 cup sugar, 1 1-4 cups rolled crackers,
4 slightly beaten eggs, 1-3 cup melted butter,
1-2 grated nutmeg, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 1-2 cups seeded raisins,
Pour milk over crackers and let stand until cool.
Add sugar, eggs, nutmeg, salt and butter.
Par-boil raisins until soft , and then add to mixture.
Turn into a buttery pudding dish and bake slowly two and a
half hours, stirring after first half to prevent raisins from
settling. Serve with liquid or hard sauce.
