Good morning Barbara,

If you have access to or can gain access to the church records that
your Roles family first attended in Bradford County, it may reveal
a wealth of information for you.

My Schulte grandparents records were found in St. John's Church,
Sheboygan County, Wisconsin (first church they attended).

Either because it was the custom, or because they were not as of
yet citizens, their homes in German (Rheinland) were listed as
Hückeswagen, Kreis Düsseldorf, Preußen (Germany).

So, armed with this information, I found Hückeswagen (now in
Nordrhein-Westfalen) and had a cousin (that was on visit to
Germany) go to the church and have one of the church authorities
dig out the information of ancestry for the Schulte Family. This
gained three more generations, including names and how many
times (due to child birth related deaths) my Schulte ancestors
were married.

To make a long story short, I think your key is Bradford County.
And, it also helps if there is more than one person researching
as the process can be overwhelming at times!
