Hi, Dvina, welcome to the club! We were all shivering in our boots at
one point, or another.

There is a list just for brand-new listowners, but you can ask any
question you like here, too.

We all feel that way, sometimes.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. When your list members send a post
to the list address, RW automatically sends the post to everyone on the
subscriber list. If you allow it (on your Tools page, List Settings),
people can sub and unsub themselves. Sometimes they will need your help,
but most people can manage it themselves, thank goodness!

There is a place on your List Settings (Tools page, remember?) that you
set as to whether you want to know when people sub and unsub. On huge
lists, I'm sure the listowner doesn't want to get all that mail! With my
little lists, every new subscriber is precious, and I mourn every
unsubscribe, unless I know that they'll be back.
So that is your choice. It might be good to learn to read the "headers"
of that message, tho -- the lines beginning with "X-diagnostic" will
tell you that a subscription attempt WAS successful. With unsubs, you
can tell by the message itself.

For every problem you can come up with, we can come up with an answer,
Dvina, or at least a smart-aleck remark! Walter, where are you when we
need you?
:)

PS: Remember, you did this because it was going to be FUN! Just chant to
yourself, for awhile -- "It'll be FUN! It'll be FUN!" Self-hypnosis is a
very valuable skill.....
