Rejoining the list after a long lapse.

I am the listowner of GADDIS-L and GEDDES-L. I am wondering if it is
"legal" for me to automatically subscribe people to the GADDIS-L list that
subscribe to GEDDES-L. GEDDES-L is one of those generated by RootsWeb a
while back.

I end up redirecting everyone to GADDIS-L and our G*DD*S webpage to show
them that we are all on GADDIS-L.

I would send them a message telling them what I have done. And, leave them
on GEDDES-L and let them decide to unsubscribe if they'd like. I just
counted and we've had 7 messages on GEDDES-L in a year and 1450 messages on
GADDIS-L.

It would certainly make things easier for me and less confusing for new
subscribers. I get many that do not understand that they will not get the
GADDIS-L messages without subscribing to that list too once I tell them
that is where the activity is.
