Hi Joan/David,
I read this thread with interest - perhaps I have misunderstood the
question, but *should* we be sending a copy of spam that comes to our admin
addresses to Andrew/RW? I thought it was only the posts that actually make
it through to the list? I get LOTS of spam to the L-, D- and request
addresses, sometimes as David says more spam than legitimate posts on these
slow surname lists, and I have never sent any of them to RW? Should I be? If
so, I will be happy to pass them along - maybe it will cut down on the
amount received!!
Thanks.
Marilyn G.

| David-
|
| Andrew has told us, in fact pleaded with us on numerous occasions, NOT to
| send more than one copy of the SAME spam notice to him.
|
| I think the main reason you might be noticing a decrease of repeated spam
is
| because Andrew has made improving the spam filters a priority--and I think
| that is something we should thank him for.
