Denny,

I have been these smartlist subs from the wrong addy for quite a while now.
I see no problem with it as it does save that step of us, as administrators,
having to go in and manually subscribing the person.

In my humble opinion, it is one less thing to worry with...

Lainee,

I don't consider having to look at the diagnostics in the header as being
notified. Sure we need to look at them in case of a problem but this did not
seem to be a problem. In the past all bounces of this nature were not added
to
the subscriber list and that is my point. Something has changed to allow it
to
be subscribed. I know I was never notified of any change in this procedure.

Things shouldn't be this hard. We get a pretty straight forward notification
when someone attempts to unsubscribe to the wrong address. I just think the
same
should be true when they subscribe to the wrong address. Obviously this is
not a
universal rule on all list servers as other lists I subscribe to still have
people trying to unsubscribe to the list address and the message goes
through to
the list instead of the Smart engine catching it or the Smart engine is not
smart enough to keep it from also going to the list.
