Hi, Wilson:
In my opinion, you should (as you clearly did) consider the list topic, what your rules are, and the general good of the list, and then decide how to handle things. I don't think whether there is another list to cover the situation matters much. Having done that, you should just let it go, in my opinion. Deleting the thread from the archives will not accomplish much, and probably won't receive a favorable hearing from staff unless the messages are in themselves offensive. From what you have said, that's not the case.
