Can you stand just one more entry on this?
I considered this website carefully, and checked it out and concluded that
since most of my ancestors are "Pennsylvania Dutch," have been in this
country since the early 1700's, and their descendants are now in virtually
every state of the union including Hawaii and Alaska -- that this website is
a goodie and a keeper.
My "Dutch" ancestors in many cases did not speak or read English well for at
least a couple of generations. I have great black holes for information
about many of them, and any website that might give a few more clues is most
welcome in my in-box.
It didn't appear to me to be commercial and it reflects a lot of work and
research. Look at any phone book and you'll see that the "Dutch" are
everywhere. There's an awful lot of us. And we've lived and married and
buried in every state and county.

(Swiss-German -- & proud to be descended from the "Pennsylvania Dutch")
