Hi, all:

It is I suppose understandable, but still saddening, that so many list admins (including myself but thankfully not often) find that list admins are disproportionately likely to be troublemakers on lists on which they are just subscribers. Often, it seems to me, the admins who are the least flexible about their own rules, are most likely to expect leniency (or frankly expect "special treatment") in regard to rules they don't agree with.

If a very wise man who lived a long time ago were here, he might say, "Do in regards to the rules on other lists, as you would have others do in regard to your rules on yours."

Put another way, "On others' lists, be an example to be emulated, not an example to be discussed."
