When an administrator selects "Replies should go back to the list by
default", there is no doubt that the rootsweb computer or server replaces
the address of the poster of a message with the list address. To prove it,
try sending an answer to a message, you will not See the person's address in
the To Box, only the list address will show (twice) and that's where the
message will go! I call that overriding the personal address. You can call
it something else if you like.
Apparently I am not making myself clear to some people, however, I know what
happens when different settings are employed on the lists and personal
computers. If I haven't been clear, then I'm sorry, I leave you to figure it
out for yourselves. Good Bye!!! G. Lee Hearl

Lee-
You were doing fine explaining how it works until you hit this part...
RootsWeb doesn't override *anything*. If there is no REPLY TO setting there
it ADDS it if the REPLY TO LIST setting is employed, but it will never
OVERRIDE the user's email program's settings if there is already a REPLY TO
setting included there.
In the REPLY TO SENDER setting hitting REPLY ALL naturally includes both the
sender and the list in the reply--the RootsWeb list software isn't
overriding anything there either.
