Yes, it became clear that the problem was the way RootsWeb was converting
RTF/HTML messages to plain text because once the subscriber switched to Plain
Text, the problem went away. I have no expectation that the problem will be
fixed on the RootsWeb end. It just needs to be pounded into subscribers heads
that they should always post to mailing lists in Plain Text.
