Ray,

As far as I know, we should NOT be accepting for distribution messages
from non-subscribers. That was never the purpose of having the pending
requests queue.

When I find such messages, I tell the subscriber that they either have
to subscribe first, or at least need to be writing from the subscribed
e-mail address if it is different.

What do you do if the message from a non-subscriber receives replies on
your list? Do you forward them to the non-subscriber? If not, that's
akin to placing a reply to a gatewayed message board post on the mailing
list only.
