Here is some information from my remarks file on Angus. Mentions Lancaster
so I feel this Jane is truly the right one:
Angus, his wife, children, and possibly two grandchildren
born to his eldest son John, migrated to the American
colonies in 1718. They most probably sailed with between
600-800 others in five ships, landing in Boston on August
4. He first settled in Lancaster, Massachusetts, which was
then a large tract of land purchased from the Nashaway
Indians. There is little information about the family in MA
as Indian attacks destroyed records which were kept by the
local minister. In 1731, Angus and some members of his
family moved to Londonderry, New Hampshire, joining other
1718 immigrants. Angus died in 1737 and was buried in East
Derry, a short distance from Londonderry. His children
spread out among small southern New Hampshire towns.

hi..thanks for the information... .this seems to be the Jane who married
Timothy KNOX Jr in about l728..A MCALLISTER together with TIMOTHY KNOX SR
and others has a grant to start a new settlement to be named Colrain but
failed and stayed in Lancaster (Angus must have removed to Londonderry.)I
am also looking for information about the KNOX family as that is my direct
line. Any info on them?
