It's possible they came from Ireland..... Scotland is another
possiblity.

Covenant was when a person joined the church and agreed to follow
the rules of behavior, etc..........perhaps someone has a better
explaination
for "owing the covenant".........its more of a binding agreement or
contract....

The church is probably Congregational as most of the Mass Bay Colony
churces were for a decade or two.

The records in the book are of: [they are all Congregational]
First Church 1708-1793
Chocksett Church [ 1744-1781]
Evangelical Congregational
Universalist Church

There was a Seventh Day Adventist in early 1830-40's onward
