Dear Janice,

     I am writing from my hotmail account at a public library computer to
ask this favor of you for two reasons.  First, I am sure, given your
experience and the volume of your online correspondence, you have good
antivirus precautions.  Second, I had a message from your home email in my
hotmail box to which I could reply.

      I believe I have a virus problem, and it is overriding my antivirus
configuration.  I dare not send mail from my home computer until I get the
situation under control.  I have temporarily unsubscribed from the Gen MA,
MA BAY, MAMiddle, MAEssex and ME Washington lists because those are lists
from which I had messages in my inbox.  I would like people using these
lists to know that there is a potential exposure, and that they should watch
for possible virus infections.  Any email purporting to be from me in the
next three or four days should not be opened.  When I am sure my home
computer is virus free, I will resubscribe to the lists.

     I would really appreciate your forwarding this information to those
lists.  It would be an enormous help to me, and I'm sure the list
administrators would appreciate knowing what is going on.  Thanks for your
help.  I'll look forward to catching up with your postings as soon as I am
certified virus free.
