Judy,
I would suggest you write to the publisher of the book, stating the
error clearly and concisely, and giving the correct information, being sure
to carefully cite the sources of your data. That way the publisher may
correct the error in future editions of the book (if any are planned). I
don't think once the book has been published, that the author has much to do
with it anymore. I may be wrong, but that may be why you haven't gotten a
response to your correspondence with the author. Best of luck in your cause,
it would be doing future genealogists a favor, big time!
