Thanks very much. This information clears up a lot of questions! The only ship arrival found for Julie so far was 1908, but that states she is a resident alien, and comments she has made multiple trips. It's very helpful to know that her emigration year is considered to be 1904, and gives us a new starting point to search for her sisters and other family members.
As for John, on his death certificate, it refers to occupation as NYNHH. If his census occupation says "ENG", that makes the connection, as NYNHH is possibly the New York New Haven and Hartford railroad.
I'm excited to follow up on this information.
