Beebe, Willard W. Butch Jr

Griffin, Ga. - Willard W. 'Butch' Beebe Jr., formerly of Westford, died unexpectedly at his home Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, where he has resided for the last 26 years. He was the beloved husband of Jan (Garrett) Beebe.
He was born in Westford, the son of the late Willard Beebe Sr. and Dolores (Milot) Beebe. Mr. Beebe was a 1967 Graduate of the Westford Academy.
Mr. Beebe served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
He worked for the South Eastern Freightway of Atlanta for the past 24 years. Prior to relocating to Georgia, he worked for the Murray Printing Co. in Forge Village. He also served a volunteer firefighter for the Westford Fire Department.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Cathy Proctor, Brian Beebe, and Stephen Beebe, all of Griffin, Ga.; two stepchildren, Christy Stroud and Christopher Cook, both of Griffin, Ga.; also four grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren; his brothers, Paul Beebe of Westfield, John Beebe of Westford, and David Beebe of Nashua, N.H.; his sister, Judy Beebe St. Denis, of Ayer; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Michael Beebe, who died in January 1996.
Funeral services and burial were held in Georgia.

Grand, David Brian

David Brian Grand, 56, the husband of Carla Jan (Willmington) Grand and the devoted father of Ross and Zachary Grand, died at home on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008.
Mr. Grand was born in Lowell on Sept. 14, 1951, the son of Ernest J. and Mary (Sissy) (OMalley) Grand, who survive him. He was raised in the Belvidere section of Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School. He went on to receive a bachelors degree from Lowell State College and a masters degree in business administration from USC in 1981.
He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1974. He was a graduate of Officers Candidate School in Quantico, Va. and the Naval Post-Graduate School in Monterey, Calif. and served as a USMC captain until 1983. He was employed by Raytheon for 27 years, most recently as a program manager in the Integrated Defense System Division in Tewksbury.
Mr. Grand married Carla in May 1988 and would have celebrated their 20th anniversary this year. He was a devoted husband and father and a vibrant member of the Westford community. A dedicated and respected volunteer, he coached his sons baseball, football, wrestling, lacrosse and soccer teams. He also served on the board of Westford Pop Warner Football.
He attended St. Catherine of Alexandria and United Methodist Church in Westford.
David truly lived life, his family was his pride and joy, he never met a stranger, and he never failed a friend.
In addition to his wife, sons and parents, he is survived by his brother James E. Grand of San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Nancy Neglia and her husband Dr. Tom Neglia of San Diego, Calif.; and Karen McDowell and her husband Michael McDowell of Dracut; his mother and father-in-law Ann (Shults) and Gordon Willmington of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sisters-in-law and their husbands; Colleen and Craig York and Beth and Bill Hogan of Grand Rapids, Mich.; nieces and nephews: Meghan and Christopher McDowell of Dracut, Sarah, Emilie and Anna York and Connor and Sophie Hogan all of Grand Rapids, Mich.
The funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 8 at 9 a.m. from the Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St., Chelmsford, with a funeral service at 10 a.m. at St. Catherines Church in Westford. Visiting hours are Thursday, Feb. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford.

She was the daughter of the late Robert J. & Marie G. (Freniere) Simard. There will be no Visiting Hours.
Relatives & Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine's Church, 107 North Main St., Westford. Interment to follow at St. Catherine Cemetery.

Mungovan, Jeanne M

Jeanne M. (Parmentier) Mungovan, 93, a resident of the Forge Village section of Westford for over 60 years, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Westford House, with her family by her side.
She was the widow of James W. Mungovan, who died in January of 1985. Jeanne and Jim are now together in 'Room 1-4-3'
She was born in Lowell on July 31, 1914, the daughter of the late Joseph and Claudia (Dugas) Parmentier.
Mrs. Mungovan was a longtime communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Westford.
She was the Meals on Wheels coordinator for the town of Westford for 20 years., and also past president of the Littleton-Westford Emblem Club. Helping people is what she enjoyed the most.
According to the family, Mrs. Mungovan enjoyed making crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting. Many babies were kept warm by her blankets, hats, sweaters and booties. She loved making afghans for her family as well. She also taught many others her very special gift.
She is survived by four sons, Dick, Jim and his wife, Roseanne, Bill and his wife, Nancy, and Bob and his wife, Linda; daughter, Pat and her husband, Walter Szymkowski; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also the grandmother of the late Kimberly.
The family also wishes to thank her extended family at Westford House, by whom she was cared for with great love and affection. We are endlessly grateful to the wonderful staff.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 1, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Westford. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery.

Wheeler, James A. Frank

James A. "Frank" Wheeler, 92, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at his home following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mary J. (Walsh) Wheeler, who died in 1994.
He was born in Concord, N.H. on Aug. 17, 1915, the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Wheeler. At the age of 3, he moved to Canada with his family after the death of his father, where he spent his early life. He attended schools in New Brunswick before returning to the United States in the 1930s.
A resident of Westford for 60 years, he was employed at the Nashoba Dairy and Pig Farm for 15 years, and most recently as a heavy-equipment operator for Robert Hicks Builders of Westford for 25 years before his retirement.
Mr. Wheeler enjoyed collecting pipes and John Deere memorabilia.
He is survived by eight sons, Richard B. Wheeler of Littleton, Floyd A. Wheeler and his companion, Patricia Warner, of Ashby, D. Wayne Wheeler and his wife, Nancy, of Littleton, Allen S. Wheeler of Jacksonville, Fla., David M. Wheeler and his companion, Krystal Stevens, of Fitchburg, Robert E. Wheeler and his wife, Karen, of Amherst, N.H., Ronald F. Wheeler of Grafton, N.H., and Stephen S. Wheeler of Westford; two daughters, Janet M. Wheeler of Westford, and Audrey A. Wickman and her companion, M. Anderson, of Macedon, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie MacGregor of St. Johns, New Brunswick; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 2, at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton. Visiting hours from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1.
