Hi Again,
Janice now your talking my tertitory. :)

Yes, Jonathan and his son Jotham resided on the same land..However
Jotham is
one of the few Pickerings who left Mendon (Blk, now) and removed
abt 1791/92
to Susquehanna County , PA.

Fortunately I finally was able to trace him. However only after
I completed my Pickering Genealogy in 1991. Well the good news I did
follow up newsletters that finally put Jotham to rest.
He married his 1st Cousin, so probably was an incentive to leave town?
:)

My Pickering's settled in Mendon , South Parish which later became
Blackstone, Ma.,
in 1734 and some have remain on the same land or near by since
that time.. Few left the area.

Anyone , area Pickering /Cook related I have a lot of data on these
lines
and others of course.

Janice I hope your Annals is indexed?? mine isn't!

Alice
---------------
From Janice F. The Annals of
Mendon; states a Jotham living in Mendon, in the 6th district in 1791. Pg.
446:
6th District. "Beginning at Hop Brook bridge, thence to Anthony Chase
including
him, thence to Cumberland Line, thence to Bellingham Line, thence to Jotham
Pickering's including him, thence to Ichabod Pickering's including him,
thence
to Seth Kelly's including him thence to the first mentioned bound." From
this
record and the map of ASA'S Farm, 1816;(pgs.115,116) I see where the heirs
of
Anthony Chase lived and from the Fed. Census Records that set Jonathan's
farm
next to Ichabod Pickering, I can only presume. Jonathan's son name was
Jotham
and he lived on his father's land.
