I found the following which I thought might be of interest to someone on the list. It's an abstract from the Massachusetts Spy Newspaper:

"The Massachusetts Spy
Worcester, Worcester Co. Massachusetts
Tenth Month, 9, 1844

"The Massachusetts Spy. John Milton EARLE, publisher and proprietor. In
Brinley Row, No. 182 Main-Street

"To be sold at public vendue at the house of Willard A. MOWRY, in the town of
Mendon, all the right in equity that Annanias GIFFORD, of Uxbridge had in
the farm whereon William W. THAYER now dwells, containing 40 acres; lying in
the southerly part of Mendon."
