Alice,
Thank you for getting back to me. You are correct "Mother" Albee is
Thomas's mother. However, the Mary (Thayer) Albee you mention from Ballou's
"History of Milford" (page 524) is the mother of Thomas Albee born in 1717 not
the Thomas Albee born in 1762 that I am searching. Ballou's "History of
Milford" also references (page 531) the Thomas Albee who's parents I am searching
but just says he may have been an unrecorded son of Thomas Albee born in
1717. This is unlikely because he married Olive Albee who was a daughter of
Thomas Albee born 1717 and would mean that he married his sister. (Was this
possible back in those days?)
I was hoping there might be historical back up records for the reference
to "Mother" Albee on page 283 "Curious Pauper Records" mentioned in Adin
Ballou;s book on the History of Milford. Is it possible that these Pauper
Records still exist somewhere?
Thanks again, I'll continue searching. This may be a mystery never
solved.
