Hello,

Would there have been an obituary in a Lowell, MA, paper on the death of
Lowell resident Alonzo Goodwin, Private enlisted in Co. G. 16th Inf. Reg.
MA, died of disease at Washington, DC, October 18, 1862, age 24. Buried at
the Military Asylum Cemetery which is now the Soldiers Home National
Cemetery. Enlisted September 20, 1861. Left home in Lowell, MA, and never
returned.
